Weight Restrictions

February 28th, 2008 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

We have had a couple of customers excitedly booking their bins only to be disappointed when they realised the waste they wanted to put in the bin was to heavy!  Please keep in mind that one cubic metre of dirt weighs approximately 1.5 tons.  Here are some examples of the weight restrictions:

General Waste: Weight limits for general waste bins depend on the size of the bin with the weight limit being 150kg per cubic metre.  For example, the total weight of a 2 metre bin should be 300kg or less; the total weight of a 6 meter bin should be 900kg or less.

Cleanfill: No weight restrictions

Green Waste: Same as General Waste

Hope this helps with your next skip bin hire!
