Labour weekend is coming up, which means spring time is in full force. So make the most of it and have a clean out. Here at bookabin, we have suppliers who service most parts of New Zealand.

We have suppliers in Auckland, Wellington, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Northland, Taranaki, Otago, Southland, Canterbury and many more. To find out if we service your area just log onto www.bookabin.co.nz and enter in your postcode on our homepage. The website will then present the sizes we have available and the bin types then you choose the dates. Bookabin will then generate a quote for you. You can then book and pay online!

Daylight Savings!

September 17th, 2009 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

Yes, it’s that time of year again.  Yeah!!!!!  Time to get those first seedlings in the ground, take off the cover from the bbq, bring down the box with the slip-n-slide inside (don’t forget the soapy water for lightning speed and the plasters for when you slide through the fence!), trim the hedges, clean out the garage, move someone out or even all of the above.

When it comes time for clean up and you find yourself standing next to a pile of rubbish, there’s simply one place to go:  www.bookabin.co.nz.  Here you can book a skip bin in under 60 seconds and have it delivered the next morning.  Pretty easy eh?

Have a safe one out there and be sure to enjoy the sun!

Dirt and Soil!

September 10th, 2009 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

Bookabin is adding a dirt and soil option! At the moment we have these options available:

  • Cleanfill - which is for heavy waste, such as concrete, bricks, tiles etc
  • General Waste - which is for things such as wood, old furniture, metal, etc (note: you can also dispose of Green Waste in the General Waste bin)
  • Green Waste - this bin is for anything green and from the garden (leaves, grass, etc.)

Having separate bins for different waste types ensures that the waste you are disposing of ends up at the right place.  This is great for recycling, which I am sure is something we all want to make a conscious effort with.  Also, if you mix the wrong waste types together you can end up with problems such as the supplier not been able to lift the bin, and none of us want that!

If you are in doubt, please send us an email, or chat to us on our live chat function.  It’s simple and the fastest way to get a response!

eWaste

September 3rd, 2009 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

eWaste is how electrical waste is commonly referred to these days.

eWaste is often able to be recycled, and to avoid overfilling our landfills and to show our environment a little love and respect, recycling is the most positive way to rid ourselves of our old equipment.

A great opportunity to dispose of your old PCs, computer peripherals, mobile phones and digital cameras through eDay on Saturday 12th September.

eDay, a free nationwide computer recycling event, is expected to divert over 1,000 tones of electronic waste (e-waste) from landfills and will enable the recovery of valuable materials such as gold, copper and aluminum so they can be reused. The drive-through event has extended from 32 regions last year to close to 40 regions in 2009. This ensures there is a drop off location close to you!

To find our more and see where your local drop off point is, visit the eDay website www.eday.org.nz
