Live Chat FAQ’s

June 17th, 2010 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

The bookabin website has a great live chat function. During business hours you can click on the live chat button which is located on every page of the website. One of our customer services staff will be able to help you with any question you have.

To help you out now, we will provide you with 2 of the most popular questions asked, along with the answers.

1) How do I get a quote? - To get a price and to order your skip, just follow the steps on the homepage. Start by entering your postcode on the homepage and follow the process by entering in your bin type, size and the dates that you require it for. Bookabin will then calculate and present you with a price matching your requirements. If you like the price you can book and pay online.

2) What waste type do I need? - If you have general light waste you will need a general waste bin – green garden waste can be disposed of in a general waste bin as well. If you have green garden waste only, you will need a green waste bin. If you have concrete, soil, bricks, tiles or any heavy waste you will require a cleanfill waste bin.

Lastly, if you have pure soil and dirt, you will need a 100% pure soil and dirt bin.

Clean it Up!!!

December 21st, 2009 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

Illegal and irresponsible dumping of rubbish is ruining New Zealand’s clean green image, and unfortunately it happens more than we know.

Places like Kaipara have seen an increase in rubbish been disposed of in ditches, down banks etc. Kaipara’s Councillor suggests that irresponsible dumping has increased due to the recession; which is unfortunate as it uses a lot of the rate payer’s money to clean up.

So if you want to get rid of you rubbish responsibly, log onto www.bookabin.co.nz for the best skip bin hire prices in New Zealand. We have suppliers located all over the country, and on bookabin you can choose from 4 waste types and bin sizes ranging from 2m³ to 30m³

Merry Christmas!!

Dirt and Soil!

September 10th, 2009 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

Bookabin is adding a dirt and soil option! At the moment we have these options available:

  • Cleanfill - which is for heavy waste, such as concrete, bricks, tiles etc
  • General Waste - which is for things such as wood, old furniture, metal, etc (note: you can also dispose of Green Waste in the General Waste bin)
  • Green Waste - this bin is for anything green and from the garden (leaves, grass, etc.)

Having separate bins for different waste types ensures that the waste you are disposing of ends up at the right place.  This is great for recycling, which I am sure is something we all want to make a conscious effort with.  Also, if you mix the wrong waste types together you can end up with problems such as the supplier not been able to lift the bin, and none of us want that!

If you are in doubt, please send us an email, or chat to us on our live chat function.  It’s simple and the fastest way to get a response!

Which Bin Should I Get?

July 9th, 2009 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

This is a common question that our customer service team receives through the Live Chat feature on the website.  And the answer really depends on the type(s) of waste that you will be disposing of.  On some occasions, you may require two bins.  If you have a look at our frequently asked questions page, you will see the different types of waste that can go in the bins:

  • General Waste is typically anything involved with a “general cleanup around the house and section” that is neither liquid nor of a hazardous nature
  • Use a Cleanfill / Hardfill skip bin, if you have any of the following:
Concrete, soil, sand, clay, rocks, rubble, bricks, sand, asphalt, ceramic tiles
  • Use a Green Waste skip bin, if you have any of the following:
Grass, leaves, tree trimmings, small branches and other organic materials.

Hopefully this helps clear up some of your questions.  In the event that you still require further information, please feel free to contact us via our Live Chat and our friendly customer support team will be happy to assist you.
