Firstly you need to enter in your postcode in on our home page, then follow the process by entering in all your details such as the bin type (if you need help determining what type of bin you need – have a look at the FAQ page, if you are still unsure chat to one of our friendly team members via the live chat function), then you can also choose which size you need, (what we have available is what presents). Lastly you choose the dates that you require the bin to be delivered and picked up.  Bookabin will then present you with a quote. Live Chat FAQ’s

June 17th, 2010 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

The bookabin website has a great live chat function. During business hours you can click on the live chat button which is located on every page of the website. One of our customer services staff will be able to help you with any question you have.

To help you out now, we will provide you with 2 of the most popular questions asked, along with the answers.

1) How do I get a quote? - To get a price and to order your skip, just follow the steps on the homepage. Start by entering your postcode on the homepage and follow the process by entering in your bin type, size and the dates that you require it for. Bookabin will then calculate and present you with a price matching your requirements. If you like the price you can book and pay online.

2) What waste type do I need? - If you have general light waste you will need a general waste bin – green garden waste can be disposed of in a general waste bin as well. If you have green garden waste only, you will need a green waste bin. If you have concrete, soil, bricks, tiles or any heavy waste you will require a cleanfill waste bin.

Lastly, if you have pure soil and dirt, you will need a 100% pure soil and dirt bin.

Rubbish at Work!

April 7th, 2010 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

Bookabin provides a way for home owners to hire a skip bin for a short period of time. It can also be used by businesses who would rather not sign a longer term contract with a skip company, and just order a bin when they need it.

If you are a business and you want to remove waste, think first and foremost about recycling what you can before dumping the rest in a skip. Check out the Renew Waste Exchange to give you an idea of how to get rid of some of that junk in a positive way, visit http://www.renew.org.nz/. Renew Waste Exchange is a business to business transfer of unwanted materials, you can specify what you have available and produce a listing for others who may be looking for it. You can also search for materials that you may require.

Once you have recycled as much as you can, order your bin efficiently through the bookabin site, just enter your postcode to get a quote matching the requirements you have.

eWaste

September 3rd, 2009 by The BookaBin New Zealand Bin Hire Team

eWaste is how electrical waste is commonly referred to these days.

eWaste is often able to be recycled, and to avoid overfilling our landfills and to show our environment a little love and respect, recycling is the most positive way to rid ourselves of our old equipment.

A great opportunity to dispose of your old PCs, computer peripherals, mobile phones and digital cameras through eDay on Saturday 12th September.

eDay, a free nationwide computer recycling event, is expected to divert over 1,000 tones of electronic waste (e-waste) from landfills and will enable the recovery of valuable materials such as gold, copper and aluminum so they can be reused. The drive-through event has extended from 32 regions last year to close to 40 regions in 2009. This ensures there is a drop off location close to you!

To find our more and see where your local drop off point is, visit the eDay website www.eday.org.nz
