Some helpful hints………………….. How much notice do you need to give when ordering a skip Bin?Most suppliers will be able to deliver a skip bin withing 24 hours of ordering, however, we suggest skip bins are booked as far in advance as possible to ensure you are able to get a skip bin that best meets your requirements and price. We also advise that if you require the bin early in the morning and have contractors or helpers relying on this, then it might be best to get the bin delivered the day before. That way you can rest assure that the bin is available and ready no matter how early in the morning you need it.Bin Hire Auckland 1024 - Mt Eden, Three Kings, Eden Terrace.

Bookabin has 4 different waste types you can choose from…These are:
General Waste is typically anything involved with a “general cleanup around the house and section” that is neither liquid nor of a hazardous nature.
Use a Cleanfill / Hardfill skip bin, if you have any of the following:Concrete, soil, sand, clay, rocks, rubble, bricks, sand, asphalt, ceramic tiles.Use a Green Waste skip bin, if you have any of the following:Grass, leaves, tree trimmings, small branches and other organic materials.Only use a Soil / Dirt skip bin, if you have 100% pure soil / dirt (no turf or contaminants). No other waste can be mixed in this bin, additional charges will apply if other waste is placed in this bin.Tip: Green waste can be mixed in with general waste in a general waste bin!!!Bin hire postcode 1061 Greenlane, One Tree Hill, Onehunga, Royal Oak, Penrose, Hillsborough, Ellerslie

It seems a new trend has arrived, not a typical trend like aviator glasses, leather jackets or Justin Beiber..This trend is not so obvious, is smellier than most and one would have to be desperate…This trend is also been thrashed in New York City..Park Avenue to be exact. Any guesses?Bet you weren’t thinking Skip Bins (for all those who have seen any episode of SATC - you know Park Avenue isn’t exactly full of skip bins). Due to the major heat wave, the apartment dwelling people of New York City are desperate for some refuge from the heat so they are converting the skip bins into pools, quite a clever idea really (as long as the bins are clean of course!)Would Aucklander’s do the same in a heat wave? Or would we not want to be swimming around where last weeks garbage was housed for who knows how long? However, if you are looking for a skip bin for the more conventional purpose of throwing your rubbish away, have a look at bookabin. We have some great rates - customers in postcode 1027, Point England, Panmure, Meadowbank, Mt Wellington, Glen Innes, St Johns and Remuera have been booking a lot of bins….let it continue!

This is a common question that our customer service team receives through the Live Chat feature on the website. And the answer really depends on the type(s) of waste that you will be disposing of. On some occasions, you may require two bins. If you have a look at our frequently asked questions page, you will see the different types of waste that can go in the bins:
- General Waste is typically anything involved with a “general cleanup around the house and section” that is neither liquid nor of a hazardous nature
- Use a Cleanfill / Hardfill skip bin, if you have any of the following:
Concrete, soil, sand, clay, rocks, rubble, bricks, sand, asphalt, ceramic tiles
- Use a Green Waste skip bin, if you have any of the following:
Grass, leaves, tree trimmings, small branches and other organic materials.
Hopefully this helps clear up some of your questions. In the event that you still require further information, please feel free to contact us via our Live Chat and our friendly customer support team will be happy to assist you.

Earlier this year the Auckland City Council started a trial of recycling in the central business district. Bins have been placed at 22 sites throughout the city, mainly at transport gateways like the Auckland Ferry Terminal and Britomart.
This is supporting the Ministry for the Environment’s campaign - Love New Zealand - to encourage recycling in public places.
However, if you are not from Auckland or can not get into the CBD, why not order a bin from BOOKABIN, and this way the bin comes to you?!
Simply log onto www.bookabin.co.nz, you then enter your postcode, bin type, bin size and the dates you want it for. Bookabin will then generate a quote for you, if you like the quote (which you will) you can book the bin and sit back and wait for it to be delivered.

This blog is dedicated to answering one of the most frequently asked questions: “What time will my bin be delivered?”
All of our suppliers are aware that they should be delivering the bins before 11:30am and picking them up before 2:00pm. However, sometimes they can be running a bit behind schedule. If this happens, feel free to contact the supplier directly. When you book the bin you will receive a confirmation email with all your supplier’s details.
If you have a specific time that you would like the bin to be delivered and picked up, you can call the supplier once you have booked the bin to organise this. We have found that all our suppliers are most accommodating with customer requests. There is also the option of expressing your requirements in the extra comment box, which you will come across in the booking process. Either way your requirements will be met!!!

You know it! Where there is a blog, there is a way and YES we have managed to incorporate Moustaches and Bins into the same category!
For all those lovely gentleman (or gentle ladies) out there sprouting those little facial hairs which they hope to soon grow into a world class Mo, we have your back! Support all the way my friends. And when the sad time should come (usually around December) that it is no longer ‘cool’ to have a Mo, Bookabin will be here for all your grooming needs.
Should you have a Repuntzel Moustache reaching to the floor from a 9 story high building, you may need to look into other disposal methods of the excess hair. Our suggestion: Booking a Green Waste bin! This bin type is perfect for all your ‘Organic Matter’ such as leaves, plants, tree or moustache trimmings.
And here it is; we have made the link between Moustaches and Garden Waste bins!
With that being said, this week is GREEN WEEK in Mo-Vember! (It makes you picture a Green Moustache, a sporting look for a Leprechaun). This may go slightly against all of those throwing out old household items for In-Organic day but what about those who have Organic waste?
If you have any organic matter which you wish to dispose of, pop online to our website www.bookabin.co.nz and enter in your postcode. Select ‘Garden Waste’ and follow the steps! Before your Mo will even grow, a bin will be dropped off in your front lawn for all your gardening needs.
Tune in next week for some more whacky adventures which can take place in November… Including Bro-Vember and other exciting ideas.
